The building is one of the oldest in the area (over120yrs) and was the original general store. Whilst unsure of the propertys actual age, the building next door (firestation pie shop) was built in 1884 some time after the gallery. The building has been an art gallery in the past and was once owned by Margaret Olley.

space The exhibition space mixes old sandstock brick work (8m), with white pristine walls.(3+5m) the historic brickwork is similar to Von Bertouch gallery, but the ceilings are markedly high at 4m. The doorway is oversized (1050x2100mm) catering for large works with a short edge of 2.3m. There are two shopfront windows 1.7x1.8m each. The gallery has flourescent and halogen lighting, meaning the gallery can be lit up 24hrs a day 7days a week cost effectively.floor plan |
